This morning, I thought about how it's already February, and the pandemic was almost four years ago. I felt a bit anxious because of how quickly everything was going.
We keep praying, hoping, and waiting for everything to become perfect before we take action. But the interesting part is that time flies past amid all these.
What are you doing? I asked myself this morning.
“A whole year has gone past and you have made little to no progress career-wise.” I thought to myself.
But this was anxiety doing its thing.
I’m not about to write another productivity or motivational email.
All I will say is every little improvement helps. The massive growth you expect takes time. And you shouldn’t expect miracles.
When I started building my blog late last year, I noticed that each time I sat to work on it, I always ended up with one improvement. It’s either I did some page interlinking, corrected some errors on the blog or added new posts. There was always something.
This is the same with development.
There's always improvement whenever we try to improve, no matter how little.
It’s the same way a baby doesn’t learn to walk, talk or solve quadratic equations at two months old. But gradually improves with time and effort.
It all takes time.
But the only way time will work in your favour is if you’re making those little improvements every day.
So, I’ll ask you this again…What are you doing?
Are you getting worked up by how far behind you think you are, or are you laying up those blocks daily?
